FANUC offers servomotors with rated torques of up to 3000Nm. Presses with servo-drives protect tools more effectively, are cleaner, quieter and achieve previously unattained levels of flexibility.
In the past, manufacturers on the lookout for a suitable press for their operations initially based their search criteria on the number of pieces and the variety of components to be manufactured. Only mechanical presses were considered for high output levels, while the need for flexibility for the most part brought hydraulic presses into consideration. All this is changing.
FANUC's large servomotors open up a whole new realm of feasible drive options, enhancing the performance and flexibility of the machine. In the final analysis, the end user profits from increased flexibility in the pressing process. Flexible stoke profiles improve quality, reduce noise levels, protect tools and speed up most press operations, all while using less energy.
Since 1996, FANUC has also offered large synchronous servomotors with rare-earth magnets that were specially developed for servo-controlled presses, injection molding machines and other large machine applications. FANUC has amassed a wealth of experience over time, having supplied over 10,000 of these large servomotors.
